A slight 30" fingerboard radius eases the playing action for the left hand, especially when barring chords, while also making it easier for the right hand to navigate between the strings.

A bass-side sound port enhances the sound (especially the bass and low-mid response) for the player, while having a negligible affect on the projection in front of the instrument.
